Celebration Keeps Time on the Hour, Except for One Night of Its 30th Year

October 15, 2026

At 7:00 p.m. on a Friday in mid-October, leaves will start falling over Market Street. They fall again at 8:00 and at 9:00. Six weeks later the leaves become snow, and the snow keeps the same schedule with a 6:00 drop added at the start. Downtown Celebration has set its seasonal effects to the clock for so long that most of the town's calendar from October through New Year's Eve fits on a watch face.

The 2026 calendar has one exception. On Saturday, November 7, Celebration marks 30 years as a town. The show over the town that night starts at 9:20 p.m., a time chosen for that night alone.

The sections below go through the season in order and explain why that one off-the-hour time stands out.

Rocktoberfest sets the rhythm, October 16 and 17

Celebration Town Center's 20th Annual Rocktoberfest runs Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026, and fills Market Street for both nights. The Town Center announced the dates on September 1. The announcement lists live music, hayrides, the lakeside promenade, and dinner at the downtown restaurants as part of the weekend.

Both nights, leaves fall over Market Street at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. That makes six scheduled leaf drops for the whole festival. If you live within walking distance, you can plan around those three times. Arrive just before one and leave after the next.

The music lineup:

  • Friday, October 16: Emcee Mark Daniel and DJ Bubbles open the night. Acoustic duo Frequency follows, then Central Florida band Lovestruck Robot.
  • Saturday, October 17: Audio Exchange and Jonnie Morgan.

Admission and parking are free both nights. The Inn at Celebration is listed as the festival's official hotel, which is useful if relatives want to stay downtown for the weekend.

The number on the banner is 20. Rocktoberfest is now two-thirds as old as the town. The weekend has become a tradition while keeping the format it started with. What changes from year to year is the bands. The leaves still fall on the hour.

Founders Day breaks the pattern, November 7

The town's official Founders Day page calls the day "30 Years of Celebration," and it is set up differently from the Town Center festivals on either side of it. It runs all day, it starts at the lake instead of on Market Street, and its biggest moment is set for 9:20 p.m.

The daytime program

The morning combines the anniversary with Veterans Day:

  1. 10:30 a.m.: Veterans Day Parade from Lakeside Park to Founders Park
  2. 11:00 a.m.: Veterans Day Ceremony at Founders Park
  3. 11:45 a.m.: 30th Anniversary Town Photo

The official page links to a parade application for groups that want to march. The Town Center's own event listing gives earlier times for the ceremony and the photo, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. The town's page includes the parade start and comes from the organizers, so its schedule is the one used here. If you want to be in the anniversary photo, 11:45 is the time to plan around. Arriving a few minutes early covers both versions of the schedule.

The town photo is the one part of the day that needs residents to show up. The parade, the concert and the drone show can all be watched as an audience. The photo only works if the people of Celebration are in it.

The evening program, 5 to 10 p.m.

The town describes the evening as free and open to the public, with Kid Zone inflatables and food and beverage tents.

Time On stage or overhead
5:00 p.m. DJ Bubbles
7:00 p.m. Pop2000 Concert with Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera and LFO
9:00 p.m. DJ Bubbles
9:20 p.m. Drone show presented by AdventHealth, featuring Dronisos
9:30 p.m. Celebrity guest DJ Ryan Cabrera

The concert has free standing-room access. The page also mentions premium tables and single seats. Those ticket holders need a photo ID that matches the name on the registration, and availability is limited. If you plan to stand, you don't need a ticket. If you want a table, the ID rule applies at check-in.

The drone show is the new piece. Experience Kissimmee's listing calls it custom-made and "the first of its kind for Celebration." For years, the town's evening effects have come from the street level: leaves and snow released over Market Street on a fixed hourly schedule. For its 30th, the town is using the sky instead, for one night, at a time that has nothing to do with the hour.

The sponsors include AdventHealth, The Inn at Celebration, Lexin Capital, Visit Celebration and Mattamy Homes. The town notes that the schedule is still being updated and may change. Questions go to the Parks and Recreation Department at 407-566-1200 or [email protected].

One scheduling note: Experience Kissimmee's Founders Day listing shows an extra date, November 5, that doesn't appear on the town's official page. The official schedule lists Saturday, November 7 only.

Now Snowing goes back to the hourly schedule, November 28 to December 31

Three weeks after the drone show, Market Street returns to its usual timing. The 28th Annual Now Snowing runs November 28 through December 31, 2026. Snow falls nightly at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.

That works out to 34 nights and 136 scheduled snowfalls, compared with six leaf drops at Rocktoberfest. Now Snowing is the bigger event, and with a full month of dates, nobody has to pick a particular night.

Besides the snow, the season includes Charles Dickens-style strolling carolers, photos with Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, train rides, synthetic ice skating and a Snow Village. Admission and parking are free. The event is presented by Lexin Capital and sponsored in part by Celebration Town Tavern and Experience Kissimmee. The Town Center's own page also lists holiday crafts, seasonal vendors and music.

A few details for planning:

  • Hours. The posted hours for the opening three nights, November 28 through 30, are 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. So the 6:00 snowfall comes half an hour after opening, and the 9:00 snowfall comes half an hour before closing.
  • End date. The Town Center's events page has shown December 30 as the end date in one place and an 11 p.m. time in another, so its event details are inconsistent. The full-season announcement lists December 31, which means the last snowfall of the season falls on New Year's Eve.
  • Address. The Town Center listing uses 691 Front Street, Celebration, and the Town Center number is 407-566-4007.

The announcement says families have been coming for "nearly three decades." With the 28th season this year, Now Snowing is only a little younger than the town. The town has its 30th birthday in November, and its oldest seasonal tradition runs four snowfalls a night until the end of the year.

Ages and timing in 2026

Put the three events side by side and the pattern is clear:

  • Rocktoberfest: 20th year, effects at 7, 8 and 9 p.m., two nights
  • Founders Day: the town's 30th, one show at 9:20 p.m., one night
  • Now Snowing: 28th year, effects at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m., 34 nights

The two Town Center traditions repeat on a fixed hourly schedule. The anniversary is the only date this season with a one-time event and a time that doesn't fall on the hour. It is also the only one of the three that starts at Lakeside Park in the morning and includes a photo of the whole town.

If you only keep one date from this season, keep November 7. Get to Founders Park by 11:45 a.m. for the photo and be back outside by 9:20 p.m. for the drone show. The leaves and the snow will keep their usual times next year. The 30th anniversary happens once.
